Habitat & Lifestyle
Yellow-Throated Martens inhabit dense forests, mountain slopes, and open woodland areas, usually at elevations up to 4,000 meters. They are diurnal, active during the day, and are known for their agility, often hunting and foraging in trees as well as on the ground. Their diet is omnivorous, ranging from small mammals and birds to fruits and insects. Martens are usually solitary but may be seen in small groups, particularly during breeding season or while feeding.

Area Found
In Pakistan, Yellow-Throated Martens are found in the northern regions, including parts of the Himalayan foothills and Gilgit-Baltistan, where dense forests provide them with ample food and cover.
